Have you ever felt that you were going through a transformation?  Where circumstances beyond your control changes your life situation. We think we can keep control of our life at all times, trying to keep a tight control on everything around us.  But there comes a time when we have to eventually decide if we are going to let fear keep us from growing and causing us stress or muster up the courage to be all that we can, no matter what life throws at us.  To truly let our spirits live we have to spread our wings and fly, like the butterfly.

My time is so enjoyable at the beach, it is when I can relax the most.  The sound of the waves and the seagulls de-stress me.  When I took these I was thinking of the song “Sailing” and that I could easily sail away on a beautiful day like this!  I have to come back to Florida for a touch of paradise.      ~Melise~

Ah, Cinderella.  What little girl has never dreamed of becoming Cinderella?  I loved fairy tales as a child. Well, I’ll admit..I still do.  I always like the beginning and the end.  ”Once Upon A Time & They Lived Happily Ever After.”  All stories seems to have a pattern that there is a major crisis but then love conquers all and they go from that point on to live happily ever after.  If real life only worked this way but reality is reality and must be faced. We can conquer one battle just to go on to the next battle.  So let me whisper in your ear a secret…. Sssshhhh, no matter how old you are it’s okay to indulge in the secret pleasure of reading, watching and even dreaming of our own fairy tales. A Sunday Evening Drive Through The Highland Mountains In Montana

I Loved How The Sun Gave The Appearance That It’s Rays Were Touching The Ground. It Was A Breathtaking View.

I loved the drive through here.  I wasn’t sure what to expect but it ended up being more than what I expected.  The colors were beautiful to see, listening to the creek gurgle it’s way through, feeling the gentle cool breeze, with the smell of rain in the air that only those in Montana would identify.  It is different than Florida rain with the smell that comes sweeping through.  I took these photo’s before I flew out again.  I was unable to take any pictures before as I had left my camera during traveling.  It felt so good to get it back.  Photo’s capture the memories for us, where we get to experience it all over again.   It is nice to take a break, to just relax the mind and do nothing but soak up nature around us.  I hadn’t had much of a chance to do that in the last several months. This little trip was well worth it.    { Montana has had a very rough summer with the smoke from all of the wildfires.  It has been extremely hazy with very low visibility.  You will see in the clarity of these photos the haze that surrounded everything, but to me it was still beautiful.}  :)

I can so identify with this song.  I feel I do walk a lonely road, but I have such a passion for the cause I’m working for.   I’m far away from home as I’ve known it, but I’ve been learning home is where you believe in your heart.  I do believe that I will find my way and that my efforts will come to pass.  That gives me the drive to continue to work so hard on what has been laid upon my heart.  I have to cling to that promise and allow it to always live within me.    I encourage you to believe and for a star to shine down upon you  so you will find your way through whatever road you may be journeying on in your life.

A Secret Garden

I wish I could go to a garden and rest.  A place that is safe and true. Where the world as we now know it has not been allowed to go inside and intrude.   Where beauty awaits and fragrances seduce to let down my guard and breathe.  A time to relax and empty my soul of all of the worlds misdeeds.   To bring myself back to the place I need for my well being of peace and harmony.  To soak in the wisps of sunlight dancing through the trees, which I know will bring strength to face the world again with ease.  If I found a place so true, I would keep the key and hide it away unless I shared it with you.

It’s been a hard road and tiring journey, I just needed to express myself.  The world seems to be changing so fast and it seems there is always something and someone to stand up for.  I have to continue to have faith that I am making a difference.  ~ Peace ~

I was suppose to take a flight today from Montana to Florida.  Only to return to Montana next week.  We have fires going on all around us in Montana right now.  At the same time, we have a major tropical storm that is hitting Florida.  Thus the reason for my trip being canceled. I have truly been learning to live in the moment.  I have eliminated expectations.  Right now, in my life, with the work that I am doing, it requires that.  I literally at times do not know what is going to transpire within the next hour.  It has taken time for me to get to this place in my soul, it did not happen over night.  I am always one that liked to know what schedules might be in advance.

 I am learning to embrace this new way of life as I see amazing things happen when I allow things to happen in a way that is bigger than me or what I could have done. I am becoming more experienced in listening to my gut instinct or that still small voice inside of me.  At the same time,  I am still trying to honor the time that I need to be just me.  It is hard sometimes, to take that extra pampering that is needed for the soul and rejuvenation. 

  At least I am on the path of continuing to remind myself, just to get away. 

Come Away With Me In The Night

As I was walking out of the Capitol, a State Representative said to me “Ms. Jordan hang in there and I hope everything works out.”  My first response was ” I am believing that it will.”  He smiled as we both continued walking the opposite way.   Another State Representative said that she “admired the work and what was being done.”  Senators have told me to “continue to do what I am doing and stay on that path.”    I know that I have taken a journey in my life that requires me to believe in miracles or I must quit what I am doing.   To speak about truth, honor, justice and kindness to our fellow man that is suffering is not a popular subject, especially in today’s political world. It is especially not popular when it is those that are forgotten.    My whole life and being has to be full of  a belief in miracles or what I am asking for will never happen.   I know within my heart that what I am doing is right, I am told by others that I am making a difference.  Of course in my own self I want immediate results, but for the good of the whole I have to give up what I myself wants and go for the change that is needed for all.  It gets tiring, it gets lonely, it is hard and it can be painful, but I know that it is right. Why?  Because I do see the miracles that are happening around me. And as I see them, I ask and pray for bigger ones.  Miracles for more than just me. 

I am both honored and humbled.   This has all been new to me, I have journaled since 1996 but I only started blogging the beginning of this year.  It has been a great experience so far to express myself and to use creativity that blogging allows.  With this blog it was just a place for me to honor being me, in a world that has gone crazy, a place to find solace and re-energize.  When I was nominated it brought tears to my eyes because I never expected that someone else would enjoy reading it, as I was not sure in which direction this blog was going to go. Each post at the end is always a surprise to me as I just allow the creative need express itself.  :-)  I would like to thank http://wsj2day.com/ for this award with honor and gratitude.

With beauty and kindness, with love and peace, these things not so uncommon and out of reach.  A place of laughter where joy abounds and truly it is where your dreams are found. Where evil is unknown and holds no ties to hearts full of darkness and too many lies.   A place still of innocence where animals can play, you don’t have to leave them you are able to stay. Fairytale wishes, ribbons and lace, yes childhood dreams but such a sacred place. 

To me from me, just my thoughts, dreams and wishes.  I see so much injustice on a daily basis that at times it is easier to imagine a place of peace and serenity to nourish my soul.  ~ Melise ~
